Earmarked amount from long-term care insurance for people in need of care at home: up to 131 euros a month (legal status 08.10.2026) for quality-assured relief services.

People in need of care who are cared for at home are entitled to a relief amount of up to 131 euros a month. It is earmarked for quality-assured services that relieve family carers and promote the independence and self-determination of the people in need of care. It serves to reimburse expenses, for example for day or night care, short-term care, services of outpatient care providers and offers of everyday support recognised under state law. [1]

Legal status: 08.10.2026. The amounts change regularly; the version in force at the time of the entitlement applies. A reform is in preparation as a draft, but is not yet law.
